To develop is a necessity to stay alive. The developmental process always implicates to changes. Changes are indispensable as the consequence of development, either positive of negative development. Positive development gives strength for organisms (human or organization) to adapt with the environment. Negative development on the other hand, caused by natural occurrences or mismanagement, brings drawbacks and death. Designed development will give more opportunity to result in positive development.

Environmental change is so rapid that it could not be dealt with natural and ?go with the flow' development. Development design to produce expected changes is needed so the organism (human or organization) can develop positively and able to face the environment.

Human needs organizations to achieve better life. The prosperity of humanity is also determined by organizational development. Good government will make the people prosperous. Good companies will make their employees live a better life. On the other hand, organizations need people to develop positively. The people determine the development and drawback of organizations.

The direction and speed of organizational development is determined by organization developmental design and the success of the process. Therefore, people with expertise to design organizational development are needed. Individual and community practicing organizational change and development based on the right knowledge will develop the organization's development.
