Change does not happen in isolation. People observe their colleagues, managers and peers and use what they see to determine what is normal, acceptable and safe. The Social Contagion of Change explores how behaviours, attitudes and social norms can spread through organisations – and how this can either accelerate or undermine change. The InfoDeck examines the role of role models, peer influence, informal networks and social norms, challenging Change Managers to look beyond formal stakeholder structures and understand the social system in which change actually takes place. The central question is not simply "Who supports the change?" but "Whose behaviour influences everyone else's?"
