DESCRIPTION
This tool may be used to communicate expectations to advisors meeting with clients as well as to monitor and promote ongoing development. The observer attends scheduled client meetings to recognize and acknowledge advisor strengths as well as to identify gaps where additional coaching or training is needed. Ratings are assigned from "excellent" to "needs further development and practice." The tool provides detailed training and performance criteria in the following areas:

• Self-confidence
• Professional appearance
• Interaction approach
• Listening skills
• Non-verbal communication
• Verbal communication
• Documentation
• First meeting closing
• Second meeting closing
• Knowledge
Space is provided for comments and recommendations as well as for 3-month development and improvement goals.
