Conflict tends to have a negative connotation based on our experiences, but it does not have to be this way. When we seek to understand, we communicate that we care enough to work through difficult situations and determine how to make things better to reduce stress, promote communication and enhance teamwork.

A lack of trust among team members and/or between team members and organization leadership is apparent when there is a lack of faith, confidence and/or belief in others. A lack of character and integrity may contribute to dishonest communication, blaming others for mistakes, making promises that aren't kept, spreading gossip, etc, all contributing to a lack of trust. There are numerous options for addressing a lack of trust in the workplace.
