Session 6: Implementing a Talent Management System that helps Leaders Excel and Organizations create Exceptional Value
You can mandate a strategy, but you can’t mandate commitment; real change demands a spreadsheet for the head and a storyline for the heart.
This session is about change and, more importantly, how to 'Make it Stick!'
What we do know from experience: Lasting change happens only when we engage both sides of the enterprise: the rational case that convinces leaders it is right, and the emotional case that convinces people it is worth it.
In this session, we cover how to make change stick and techniques to use so that the business logic is undeniable and the human story is unforgettable.
McKinsey captures their extensive research on how to make an organization healthy simply… At its core, Organizational Health is basically 'how leaders run the place!'
You will be introduced to two anchors to making things real for your team: A Commitment Curve… unraveling the 7 normal stages that anyone goes through from 'just hearing about it… to being strongly committed to the change;' and an S-Curve… a graph that shows how you can plot the steps of change… and, how the change over time is a pattern that starts slow, accelerates, then slows and levels off, forming the shape of an S.
And you will see how to combine the two curves to dramatically depict for your colleagues and team "the stages we will go through and the attendant ‘feelings’ during the journey."
In this session, you will find ways to become more successful through change: we will cover tools that will help you and your team better understand and predict what is coming up and then assist them in influencing the change.
• 3 Levers of Change… the Rational Side… cleaning up confusion that can surround change, and
• 3 Levers – Emotional Accelerants… that will assist in motivating, providing clarity, and support through change.
Bottom line: If you want to be better equipped to help your organization and your immediate team (and yourself) succeed in change… this session can provide you with 'difference that make a difference!'
Dr. Bishop's program aims to change this by providing a proven framework and turnkey toolkit—scalable to any size of organization. Our methodology is a refreshing and different, common-sense approach, which will work for you and for your organization. You will learn best practices discovered in premiere organizations, such as FedEx, Baxter International, Bank of America, and other firms. You will also come to discover and understand how we have truly over-complicated this talent issue. Thus, this program will be about simplification and "common sense" workable solutions.
