Behaviour change involves altering individual actions, whereas culture change refers to the deeper, long-term shift in shared attitudes, beliefs, and values that influence behavior across a group. While behavior change can be a prerequisite for culture change, true cultural shifts are more complex and require making new behaviors the easy, effortless, and rewarding norm within the existing social and physical environment. This InfoDeck aims to explain some of the key differences between the two and how they relate to each other.
The author is a recognised Change Leader and has been in the "business of change and transformation" since 1974.
