This framework is developed by a team of former McKinsey and Big 4 consultants. The presentation follows the headline-body-bumper slide format used by global consulting firms.
Explore the BPMM Innovating framework, crafted by ex-McKinsey & Big 4 experts. Enhance process maturity, align strategies, and drive continuous improvement. Business Process Maturity Model (BPMM) Series: Innovating is a 21-slide PPT PowerPoint presentation template (PPTX) available for immediate download upon purchase.
The Business Process Maturity Model (BPMM) captures a 5-level evolutionary improvement path that guides organizations as they move from immature, inconsistent business activities (level 1) to mature, disciplined processes (level 5). BPMM orders these stages so that improvements at each stage provide a foundation on which to build improvements undertaken at the following stage.
Therefore, we can leverage BPMM to provide a roadmap for Continuous Process Improvement. BPMM also helps identify process deficiencies and guides the improvements in logical, incremental steps.
BPMM originally was developed to ensure organizational readiness prior to initiating technology deployment. BPMM helps achieve uniform standards, identify weaknesses in workflows, and create standardized tailored processes that simplify the requirements for enterprise applications. BPMM achieves organizational agility, reduces the complexity of enterprise applications, and provides means to specify contractual requirements correctly and lower operating costs.
BPMM assimilates important guidelines, improvements and lessons learned from its predecessor models—Process Maturity Framework (PMF),
Capability Maturity Model (CMM) for Software, and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).
The complete BPMM framework encapsulates 30 Process Areas that are defined over 5 Maturity levels. This full framework is explained in detail across 5 presentations. This is the fifth presentation, which provides a deep dive into level 5 of BPMM, Innovating.
The slide deck also includes some slide templates for you to use in your own business presentations.
This presentation delves into the intricacies of the Innovating level of BPMM, focusing on key areas such as Organizational Improvement Planning, Performance Alignment, and Continuous Capability Improvement. It provides actionable insights on aligning improvement initiatives with strategic objectives, ensuring effective contribution to business goals, and discerning root causes of defects. The deck offers a comprehensive guide to maintaining process goals, documenting improvements, and managing deployment effectively. This resource is essential for organizations aiming to achieve high maturity by continuously enhancing their business processes and driving innovation.
This PPT slide template outlines the fifth level of the Business Process Maturity Model (BPMM), "Innovating," which focuses on continuous improvement across 6 key process areas. Organizational Improvement Planning (OIP) involves strategic planning to prioritize improvement initiatives. Organizational Performance Alignment (OPA) ensures activities align with performance goals. Defect and Problem Prevention (DPP) emphasizes proactive measures to eliminate potential issues, enhancing operational efficiency. Continuous Capability Improvement (CCI) focuses on evolving organizational capabilities over time. Organizational Innovative Improvement (OII) promotes innovation as a core improvement strategy, fostering a culture of creative thinking. Finally, Organizational Improvement Deployment (OID) addresses the effective implementation and monitoring of improvement initiatives. These interconnected areas collectively enhance organizational maturity and drive sustainable growth.
This PPT slide template outlines the framework for Organizational Improvement Planning (OIP), focusing on establishing improvement initiatives, assigning roles, setting goals, and measuring results. The structure includes 3 sections: Goals, Practices, and Purpose.
The Goals section identifies 3 objectives: aligning organizational systems with improvement strategies, defining specific improvement needs for targeted interventions, and ensuring improvement initiatives support the organization's strategic vision.
The Practices section details actionable steps, including maintaining descriptions of critical business issues, establishing a continuous improvement program, and setting quantitative improvement goals. Regular data analysis for identifying improvements and gathering internal inputs on process enhancement are emphasized.
The Purpose section states the aim of establishing quantitative improvement goals and creating a supportive infrastructure for achieving these improvements, aligning with the need for a strategic framework.
This PPT slide template outlines the Defect and Problem Prevention (DPP) framework, focusing on identifying and addressing root causes of defects to prevent recurrence. The first goal, "Determine root causes," emphasizes grouping similar problems for efficient analysis and prioritization. The second goal, "Address root causes," involves implementing corrective actions through coordinated defect prevention activities, engaging relevant stakeholders for effective problem resolution. The final goal, "Disseminate prevention information," highlights the importance of sharing insights from prevention data to sustain improvements and build a knowledge repository for future strategies. This structured approach enhances operational maturity and drives efficiency and effectiveness.
