Innovation Strategy Framework (PowerPoint PPTX)

This document is a pre-built strategy framework for the management of innovation. It is written as a proposition or proposal for structuring innovation at an organisation if you will, a pre-built presentation that can be given to the board of an organisation presenting why, how and what can be achieved. It can be used "as is" with changes to logo etc or it can be used as a guide to building your own through modification, additions and removal of elements.

It consists of 15 slides and covers:

•  Basic reason as to why innovation is important in today's business environment
•  Definitions of the terms and context that are used to management innovation
•  The landscape of innovation highlighting different horizons or degrees of challenge
•  key tenets in how to structure innovation
•  a call to action asking for the support to initiate the framework and a conclusion message that contextualises innovation in comparison to renowned innovative organisations.

The framework identifies three key tenets essential for building an innovation culture: Common Strategic Purpose, Stakeholder Engagement, and Experimentation. These pillars guide organizations in creating a cohesive strategy that aligns with their business goals. The focus on stakeholder engagement emphasizes the importance of involving diverse internal and external parties to foster a rich pool of ideas and perspectives.

The appendix provides a detailed breakdown of the five stages of ideation maturity through the Act Phase. This section outlines the progression from initial ideation to achieving business confidence and ownership, offering a clear roadmap for organizations to follow. The framework is designed to reduce uncertainty and risk, ensuring that investments in innovation yield tangible business outcomes.
