Retailer Deduction, Chargeback, and Recovery Control Tower is an Excel-based control workbook for finance teams managing retailer remittance deductions, shortage claims, freight penalties, compliance chargebacks, and dispute follow-up. It brings transaction intake, claim calculation, recovery tracking, write-off visibility, and executive reporting into one governed operating file.
The workbook is organized around three customer-facing sheets: Executive Summary, Claim Calculations, and Data Entry. Data Entry captures remittance and claim records. Claim Calculations applies the configured business logic and exposes claim status, recovery, write-off, unresolved balance, aging, ownership, and escalation fields. Executive Summary provides a focused management view supported by a native Excel chart and operating metrics.
The included production dataset contains 1,200 fictional sample claims and related workflow records distributed across deduction classes and states. It is provided to demonstrate structure and workflow behavior; it is not customer transaction history and does not evidence actual recoveries. Buyers can replace the yellow editable inputs with their own authorized data while keeping formula cells protected. The model includes reconciliations, parameterized tolerance controls, data validation, claim-state checks, recovery and write-off limits, and an operational Master Lock result. The operating design separates editable data from protected calculations and keeps reconciliation, validation, exception, and reporting logic within the same controlled workbook surface.
The Enterprise Suite contains the Excel workbook, an implementation guide, a quick-start guide, a cutover acceptance sign-off, and sample data. Documentation explains onboarding, roles, data preparation, reconciliation routines, exception handling, dispute evidence, escalation, period-end review, and control ownership. The sample CSV mirrors the workbook's input structure for controlled testing and implementation planning.
Teams can use the file during daily cash application, claim triage, dispute preparation, recovery follow-up, and period-end reporting. Clear ownership and aging fields help separate open work from recovered or written-off items, while the executive view summarizes current exposure without hiding the transaction-level trail that supports operational review.
This product is intended for finance, accounts receivable, order-to-cash, deductions, revenue assurance, and shared-services teams that need a repeatable control layer for retailer claims. It supports disciplined investigation and workflow visibility; it does not replace source ERP records, retailer portals, legal advice, or professional judgment. Outcomes depend on source-data quality, retailer evidence, contractual terms, team execution, and configured operating decisions. No recovery amount, time saving, or commercial result is guaranteed.
