This is a question that I think Change Management practitioners rarely ask themselves honestly. So let me give you my take on this subject, why they matter, and how they can be put right. Yes, I know, this is pretty basic stuff, but I think we sometimes need to be reminded about the foundations of what we do; otherwise, we are likely to get lost in what is happening "in the day".

In June 2012 the author was presented with a "Change Leader of Tomorrow" Award by the World HRD Congress in recognition of my "remarkable progress in initiating changes enough for others in the same industry to follow my example".
