DESCRIPTION
The 5i approach (Intention – Interest – Investigate – Intervene – Implement) is designed for the every-day problem solver. It's an approach with one purpose: To ensure a pragmatic and rapid approach to systematic problem solving.
Harvest the power of having an army of problem solvers by giving them a simple tool that everyone can use. 5i will ensure that problem solving is performed systematically thereby dramatically reducing errors.
The main difference between 5i and other "Rapid problem solving tools" is that goal setting and go-look-see/go to gemba is build in the model. This ensures that the problem solver never misses these important steps.
Also included in the template is a Process Confirmation Card containing 19 questions that will help you evaluate your problem solving process. This can be used by management or by the problem solver himself.
