Business Processes are in my veins. Process Improvement was my first "change" capability. I regard Business Processes are the "beating heart" of an organisation and form the basis of who does what, when, where, how and why. If you do not make processes a core part of your strategy from the onset, you risk not fully achieving the return on investment, and, as a result, will likely incur unnecessary customisation, higher implementation costs, and a longer timeline to go live.
If you do not give enough attention to Business Processes early in a "change" initiative, that will result in the same old inefficient processes limiting your staff with something that is underutilised and never fully achieves the benefits originally anticipated. These are my 10 reasons for making Business Processes a core part of your strategy from the onset.
