The Solar Investment Committee Comparison Dashboard is an Excel decision tool designed for the final stage of a utility-scale solar investment process.
It does not build another financial model. Instead, it receives completed financial runs and forces them onto the same decision surface.
Up to twelve cases can be loaded side by side, and each run is validated before it enters the comparison. The workbook tests run integrity, project identity and financial consistency before applying four configurable investment hurdles: a minimum equity IRR, a minimum P90 DSCR, a minimum equity NPV and a maximum payback period.
Only valid runs that meet the policy requirements enter the final ranking. A case that fails a hurdle is reported as failing that hurdle rather than being quietly absorbed into a composite score.
RANKING AND DECISION
Qualifying runs are ranked by equity IRR using competition-style ties.
The dashboard also reports the other metrics that explain the result rather than allowing IRR to stand alone.
A tornado chart compares the effect of structural or downside alternatives against the base case, so the committee can see which assumption actually moves the decision.
The Committee Card identifies the selected asset and summarizes the recommendation as INVEST, REVIEW or NO RUNS, together with the metrics and hurdle results that support it.
The workbook never changes the runs it receives. It is therefore a decision record rather than another modeling layer, and the same board can be re-presented later to show exactly what was known and approved on the day of the decision.
HOW RUNS ARE LOADED
Runs are imported through a documented specification rather than through live links to other workbooks. A run-import specification and a sample run export are included, so cases produced by a compatible project finance model can be exported and pasted into the board without external formula references or broken links.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
The primary download is the S5 dashboard workbook. The secondary file is a ZIP bundle containing the complete S5 User Manual, the run-import specification, a Committee Quick Start, a sample run export, a pre-loaded demonstration board with four scenarios, and the licence, scope and disclaimer documentation.
WHO IT IS FOR
Investment committees, infrastructure funds, renewable-energy developers, portfolio managers, transaction advisors, CFO teams and analysts responsible for presenting alternatives to an approval body.
WHAT IT IS NOT
This is a companion decision tool, not a financial model. It does not calculate energy, CapEx, debt or project cash flow.
It is designed to compare financial cases produced by a compatible utility-scale solar project finance model. Buyers who require the complete solar-development chain should use the full ExpertPro Solar Suite.
