DESCRIPTION
Desalination is the process by which the dissolved mineral salts in water are removed. Currently, this process, applied to seawater, is one of the most used to obtain fresh water for human consumption or agricultural purposes.
This Financial Model presents a development and operations scenario of a Desalination Plant including a Wastewater facility.
The model includes calculations and assumptions for the Plant Development (Land Acquisition or Lease, Construction Costs, Equipment, etc), Startup Expenses, Production Assumptions (Operating Days, Saline Wager and Water Treatment Input Capacity, Capacity Utilization), 5 different Revenue sources (Sale of Drinking and Purified Water, Aqueduct, Sewerage Grid, Purification Services), Direct Costs (Electricity, Waste Disposal, Reagents), Payroll, Operating Expenses, Fixed Assets & Depreciation, Financing through Debt & Equity and Exit Valuation assumptions (WACC and Terminal Value) in case of a potential sale of the business.
