4. Dogs: Products in this category have low market share in low-growth markets. They typically generate low returns and consume more resources than they provide. Companies often consider divesting Dogs to free up resources for more promising opportunities.

The BCG Matrix provides a visual representation that helps companies prioritize their product portfolios. By understanding which products are Stars, Cash Cows, Question Marks, or Dogs, businesses can make strategic decisions about where to invest, divest, or allocate resources.
