Banks, asset managers and insurers report financed emissions to the PCAF Global GHG Accounting and Reporting Standard for the Financial Industry. This workbook applies Part A (Financed Emissions, 3rd edition, 2025) position by position.
Portfolio register for up to 100 positions across eight asset classes: listed equity, corporate bonds, business loans, unlisted equity, project finance, commercial real estate, mortgages, motor vehicle loans.
The right denominator, automatically. EVIC for listed equity and bonds, total equity plus debt for loans and unlisted equity, project equity plus debt for project finance, property value at origination for real estate. EVIC defined exactly as the Standard defines it.
Attribution factor = outstanding ÷ denominator, capped at 1. Financed Scope 1+2 and Scope 3 computed per position and in total.
PCAF data quality options 1a to 3c mapped to scores 1 to 5 from the Standard's own table, with the exposure-weighted portfolio score the Standard asks you to disclose.
Summary: absolute financed emissions, economic intensity per million invested, breakdown by asset class, chart.
Verified against hand-worked examples before listing. Live formulas, no macros, no locked cells. Excel and Google Sheets. Sector emission factors for the estimation options are not shipped; use your data provider's and record the source.
How to work with it. Open the workbook in Excel or Google Sheets. Yellow cells are inputs, blue cells are formulas. Start with the Guide sheet, which walks through the sheets in the order they are meant to be used, then replace the example values with your own data. Every figure traces through live formulas to the inputs and to the cited source, so an auditor, lender or client can follow the working.
Use it if: You are a bank, asset manager or insurer reporting financed emissions to the PCAF Standard.
Not suited if: You need facilitated emissions or insurance-associated emissions; those PCAF parts are not included.
Contents: 1 Excel workbook (.xlsx), sheets: Guide, Portfolio, Summary, Lookups. No macros, no locked cells, no hidden sheets. Built and verified by Bindler.
