As the U.S has imposed sequestration on the U.S Air Force, readiness has been impacted. This paper studies the impact of the budget cut on readiness, that is to say the ability of the U.S Air Force to have a quick and efficient response to any new situation. The paper therefore reviews the definition of readiness and reviews its impact on the army force.
As technologies have become more present as educational tools, the paper then reviews the pros and cons of using Modelling and Simulation (M&S) tools as remedies to budget cuts.
This paper concludes that despite the efficiency of M&Ss tools, it is not efficient enough to cover the losses engendered by the sequestration.
