Vishnu has worked in Pharma Manufacturing and FMCG Supply Chain environments for over 23 years with some of the most reputed organisations in New Zealand and India, including Unichem Laboratories, Aristo Pharmaceuticals, Intas Pharmaceuticals, Standard Medical & Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Fonterra (global dairy giant), George Weston Foods (part of AB Foods), Navman (GPS Navigational Equipment Manufacturer), Gilbarco Veeder Root and others. In the past 6 years Vishnu has been providing consulting, training, coaching and mentoring services in the Operational Excellence arena.
Vishnu until recently was a Director & Principal Consultant with Productivity Solutions Limited (PSL) and Productivity Institute (PSL Training Division) based in New Zealand and is passionate about Lean Thinking and making businesses "waste free." During this period, Vishnu consulted for various industries including Electronics, Printing, Plastics, Packaging, Engineering & Metal Fabrication, HVAC, Pre-cast.
Vishnu has been an approved training provider for the CMI Consortium (Competitive Manufacturing Initiative, NZ), offered consultancy & training to NZTE (New Zealand Trade & Enterprise) funded programmes, HERA (Heavy Engineering Research Association, NZ), NZPICS (Association for Operations & Supply Chain Professionals), and CBAFF (Custom Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association, NZ).
Academically Vishnu holds an honors degree in Pharmacy from BITS Pilani, an MBA /PGDBM in Operations Management and certified in Supply Chain management from APICS. Vishnu is also a certified Lean (SME/AME/ASQ/Shingo Prize) & Six Sigma practitioner and attended training by Dr. Jeffrey Liker, the author of The Toyota Way.
Some of Vishnu's achievements include, doubling productivity in Engineering Company by introducing JIT, improving first pass yield by over 12% in Electronics Company, saving $250K in a packaging company by improving flow, saving $2M in an FMCG company by implementing Sales & Operations Planning, implementing training and coaching in practices leading to "First Time Right" philosophy thereby improving quality & customer service levels at a number of organisations.
Vishnu has been a frequent speaker at many conferences in NZ and also an international speaker and trainer. Vishnu delivered consulting and training in NZ, Australia, India and Malaysia.
