the Middle East, The Pearl Qatar. He also introduced the ISO Integrated Management System suite of accreditations to his organisation (ISO 9001/14001/OHSAS18001), acting as the relevant project manager, and developed the first facilities management doctrine ever written - see link further on this page. He acted as the Balanced Scorecard Coordinator of various companies.
Ian has, amongst others, twenty years of military intelligence, policy formulation and strategic planning experience, serving as Director Air Force Intelligence in South Africa, as well as a further fourteen years of experience in listed companies in South Africa and the Middle East. Part of this was spent within the banking industry, notably as the General Manager Risk Information at the SA Banking Risk Information Centre (SABRIC).
Ian has a continuous record of success, demonstrated both in the public and private sectors, in the areas of internal and external consulting and in leading and driving organisational change from a strategic management perspective.
His range of practical experiences are augmented by academic studies which have left him with numerous certificates (inter alia all military intelligence and strategic development courses) as well as BA () and MBA degrees, whilst he is currently reading towards his degree in law (LLB). He also recently obtained the ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and ISO 31000 Certified Risk Management Trainer qualifications.
After more than 5 years in Qatar Ian returned to South Africa in April 2014 and has since done work on contract, eg strategy formulation.
