As organizations operate across increasingly complex international environments, cultural friction remains a persistent leadership challenge to navigate. Cultural differences weaken collaboration, disrupt trust, and create hidden operational drag.

This PPT presentation discusses the Meyer Culture Map framework, which serves as a practical diagnostic tool to help leaders navigate cross cultural differences with precision. The Meyer Culture Map framework was introduced by Erin Meyer, a professor at INSEAD and program director for global leadership and virtual team management.

The 8 dimensions of Meyer Culture Map assist the executives in understanding and managing challenges arising from cultural differences in global organizations. The dimensions include:

1. Communicating: Low-context vs. High-context communication
2. Evaluating: Direct vs. Indirect negative feedback
3. Leading: Egalitarian vs. Hierarchical leadership
4. Deciding: Consensual vs. Top-down decision-making

5. Trusting: Task-based vs. Relationship-based trust
6. Disagreeing: Confrontational vs. Avoids confrontation
7. Scheduling: Linear-time vs. Flexible-time orientation
8. Persuading: Principles-first vs. Applications-first reasoning

This presentation focuses on the first 4 dimensions. These 4 dimensions are discussed in depth, including a mapping of countries across the continuum for each dimension.

Meyer Culture Map is a practical framework for diagnosing and managing cross-cultural differences in international teams.

This PowerPoint presentation on the Meyer Culture Map also includes some slide templates for you to use in your own business presentations.
