Strategic Business Plan Design and Implementation in 14 Asian and Latin-American Enterprises – Word DOCX

The paper expose the upshot of a survey made on some experiences in strategic business management design & implementation, in a sample of 14 Asian (10) & Latin-American (4) enterprises, in relation with a training programme sponsored by Swedish International Development Agency.

Gathering, processing & evaluation of information were made on:

•  Factors which could influence the choice of a specific methodology, in an enterprise, its environment & decision makers.
•  Benefit-cost relation in strategic design, taking into account 13 items. Benefits, in terms of results, product & relations; cost, in 4 kinds of resources; evaluation of each one & both in high-low degree.
•  Factors which could influence success, or failure, both in the achievement of strategic goals, as well as the fulfilment of strategic actions in enterprise (such as its organisational culture, size, IT, communication, control), its environment & decision makers. Strategic goals & actions were classified conventionally in "market oriented" & "enterprise oriented." The role of leadership & planning, as well as Inner Vs. External conditions, both in success & failure, were exposed.
