Influencers in social media are people who have built a reputation for their knowledge and expertise on a specific topic. They make regular posts about that topic on their preferred social media channels and generate large followings of enthusiastic, engaged people who pay close attention to their views. Brands love social media influencers because they can create trends and encourage their followers to buy products they promote. An Influencer has the power to affect the purchasing decisions of others because of his or her authority, knowledge, position, or relationship with his or her audience.
If you are interested in setting up a Social Media Influencer business, this Financial Model is the right tool for you. The model presents a 5-year financial plan for a startup business and includes assumptions for startup and recurring operating expenses, videos uploads (Youtube), videos views and free subscribers conversion, 6 different revenue sources (Private Community Paid Subscribers (Super Fans), Merchandising, Advertising, Sponsorships, Affiliate Marketing and Other Revenue) and calculates the required starting capital. User has the option to select which of the 6 revenue sources to include in the finncial plan and also specify the starting year of each source.
Output Reports of the model include Monthly Budget, Current Year Actual, Budget vs Actual Variance Analysis, 5-Year Forecasted Cash Flow, Key Performance Indicators and a 5-Year Business Summary.
The structure of the template follows Financial Modeling Best Practices principles and is fully customizable.

Model Layout & Revenue Sources overview:
• Video Uploads, Video Views and Free Subscribers Conversion
This section is the starting point of the operations. It includes assumptions of the number of videos you plan to upload on Youtube and on the number of views you thing you will have for new and existing videos. It also includes an assumption on how many of the video viewers will sign up as free subscribers to your channel.
• Private Community Paid Subscribers (aka "Super Fans")
The model assumes that some of your free subscribers will become your super fans and will become members of your channel under a paid subscription. The assumptions for this section include conversion and churn rates %, subscription fee and the number of exlusive videos or livestreams you plan to upload for this Private Community
• Merchandising
The model also provides a merchandising revenue source which assumes that you may sell product(s) to both paid and free subscribers. The assumptions for this section include subscribers to buyers conversion rates, products sale price and COGS and avg. purchases per buyer.
• Advertising
Advertising revenue is calculated based on a minimum achieved number of subscribers, a monetized views rate % and an advertising CPM (cost per mille, ie cost an advertiser pays for one thousand views) assumption.
• Sponsorships
Sponsorships revenue in the model is calculated using a 4 tier methodology under the assumption that the more subscribers you have, the more money you can get for new videos uploaded. The model allows user to enter 4 different subscriber tiers and the replative prices per tier.
• Affiliate Marketing
The model provides an assumption for revenue through affiliate marketing, meaning that you will promote several products in exchange for a commission % on the achieved sales.
• Other Revenue Sources
Finally the model provides an assumption (expressed as a % of revenue) for other type of revenue sources you may have (courses, events, consultin, etc).
