DESCRIPTION
This procedure provides guidance to line managers to prevent personnel injury from the inadvertent starting or energising of equipment while it is being, installed, commissioned or maintained. It also provides details to prevent the use of equipment, electricity plant or machinery whilst in an unsafe condition.
The purchaser will need to ensure the procedure is suitable for the level of risk associated with any task where isolation or tagging is required.
