This document outlines a clear and reusable methodology for providing a structured training academy approach to develop and reward your IT Solutions Leaders.

A Solutions Leader identifies and designs client solutions in a way that promotes predictable implementation, and is one of the main sources of value that an Infrastructure IT company provides to it's customers.

This role is characterised by the need for substantial technical and operational delivery knowledge and skills; and a well-developed ability to understand the client's business. What sets it apart from many technical roles is the need to take into account sales, commercial, service delivery, business and management issues.

In addition knowledge of Technology and reuse of Solutions are fundamental to success. The Solution Leadership Training Academy (SLTA) facilitates the above through a company-wide network of role model Solution Leaders who are encouraged to communicate with each other and share views on current best practice.

The Academy should also provide personal recognition of outstanding performance in bidding for and winning new business.
