Level 4, "STRATEGIC," marks a significant advancement. Organizations establish a balanced portfolio of BI standards driven by business objectives. They deploy performance management strategies and an enterprise metrics framework, indicating a more integrated and strategic approach to BI.

Finally, Level 5, "PERVASIVE," represents the pinnacle of BI maturity. Here, BI usage extends beyond the organization to include suppliers and customers. Analytics become embedded in business processes, and information flows seamlessly across the organization. This level reflects a fully integrated BI strategy that drives decision-making at all levels.
