SAP Plant Maintenance Order Gatekeeper (PowerPoint PPTX)

This document walks you through the gatekeeper process for SAP Orders. Its a great tool to use to begin to understand, or help others understand the steps involved in this process.

Maintenance Order Overview
A Plant Maintenance Order is a SAP document used to plan and manage the execution of maintenance work. Within the Maintenance Order, all the specific details concerning work that will be performed is described. Orders are where Maintenance Costs are collected.

Orders will all include some critical information required such as:
Description of work that is required
Order Type
Reference Object
Maintenance Activity Type
Basic Dates
Priority
Main Work Centre
Planner Group

Below is an example of some of the included notes:

"Here are a few key points to note about a Plant Maintenance Order
It's the same as a Work Order of today. In SAP it will be call a Maintenance Order
All the needed work will be documented and described in the Maintenance Order
The Maintenance Order is where the Maintenance Costs are collected.

Here is a list of critical information each Order will carry?
A Description of the work that is required. This is carried over from the notification if there is one.
The Order Type will, of course, be on the order.
The reference object, which contains the Equipment Number and Functional Location, will be carried forward from the notification.
Maintenance Activity Type, Dates, Priority, Work Center and Planner Group are all included."
