DESCRIPTION
Shainin Design of Experiments is a methodology used to discover, correct and control product and process defects. It uses a set of tools either developed or popularized by Dorian Shainin. Shainin DOE is called DOE, but differs from classical DOE (Fisher) or Taguchi DOE (Taguchi) in that, the process is never interrupted during the discovery phase. Shainin DOE uses very few complex analytical tools but instead consists of a set of tools useable by almost anyone in the organization, especially shop floor personnel.
The objectives of this module are to understand: Shainin DOE at a high level, the DOE Roadmap and the significant difference between classical DOE and Shainin DOE.
This material is suitable for independent study or formal classroom training and includes quiz questions.
