It grew from his conviction that the world of business had been experiencing transformations of such magnitude that existing managerial frameworks were now either invalid or incomplete. Moreover, the emergence of the Internet, with the previously unimagined potentials for communication, and the technologies surrounding e-business and e-commerce, made available some powerful new tools that allowed the feasibility of completely different business approaches.

The immediate result of this effort is an integrated strategy development process that presents a new approach and a new discipline to strategic management that Enrique Suarez wants to further disseminate to the business and non-for-profit world. While focussing on a new set of strategic positioning options that revolve around the concept of "bonding", The Delta Model also addresses the critical issue of linking strategy to execution through the discussion of the use of Adaptive Processes, Aggregate and Granular Metrics, and Experimentation and Feedback to drive performance.
