ISO 22000:2005 is the first global Food Safety Management System (FSMS) which is adopted by thousands of organizations all over the world, and many more are in the process of doing so. One of the reasons for its wide adoption is because it enables organizations to control food safety hazards along the food chain in order to ensure that food is safe at the time of consumption. ISO 22000:2005 applies to all organizations regardless of type, size and complexity.
