Evaluation Planning will equip you with the knowledge and a turnkey framework to plan an impact evaluation. Managing the operations of a project, program, or service is one thing; but evaluating it for its success is another. My goal is to get you into the mindset of an evaluator by outlining a complete process for you to follow and customize.

Evaluation is a broad field. Having evaluation skills can set you apart in a competitive market, but gaining those skills takes time. This toolkit is your shortcut. I've condensed the world of evaluation for you into key lessons, with each lesson being a step in the planning process. Here is why this toolkit is your shortcut to everything you need to know to successfully plan an evaluation:

1. The slides are brief and to the point. The title of each slide is the key takeaway for that slide. There is no need to sift through lots of text to find the main point.

2. For each step in the planning process, I will draw on two case studies , one representing a policy and one representing a program.

3. To help me explain a point, I use examples and analogies, each time with an accompanying image. Images are good anchors to help remember things.

It is structured sequentially, following the steps to plan an evaluation from start to finish so that you can use it right away to improve service delivery and effectiveness of services, provide evidence for decision making, and measure the performance and success of projects, programs, products, and policies.
