DESCRIPTION
Process outputs frequently have multiple ?Y?s? that could have interactions (optimizing one will affect the other). For example: decrease cycle time WITHOUT increasing cost, decrease defects WITHOUT increasing the number of quality inspections, reduce overhead in procurement WITHOUT causing shortages of procured parts in the factory, improve report accuracy WITHOUT increasing cycle time. Multiple Response Optimization is a method that simultaneously solves for an optimal solution of multiple responses which are influenced by the same set of inputs.
The objectives of this module are to understand: how multiple responses require different settings for the input variables, how to optimize them, how the Multiple Response Optimizer in MINITAB works.
This material is suitable for independent study or formal classroom training and includes quiz questions.
